about & contact me here :
Hello, my name is Kevin.
I am an Industrial designer –BID (UNSW) and Digital Media specialist – MDM (University of Newcastle), living and working in Abu Dhabi, U.A.E.
I have been in the design industry for over ten years giving me time and experience to become well rounded in many design areas including product development, graphic design, outdoor/retail advertising, exhibition, brand identity, digital and multimedia. During this time I have worked for a variety of different companies of varying shapes and sizes, worked on some major brands, managed my own full scale branding projects, mentored students and inspired others as they have inspired me.
The driving force in my growth & development as a creative person is by being inspired by various artists and teaching. I am currently a Faculty member where I currently teach subjects in Photography, Typography, Drawing, Web Development and Graphic Design (Previously Animation, Colour theory, and Principles in 3D Modelling).
Currently I am working towards my Phd in Fine Arts (University of Newcastle). It is a research project which will explore various challenges and how censorship influences the role and manner of artistic expression, as Middle Eastern societies negotiate the rapidly proliferating influences of global contemporary art and culture. More specifically, it will examine the role of the ubiquitous digital photographic image in exacerbating and disseminating rapid cultural change.
I am always passionate about the projects I work on and driven by new challenges – with a desire to take the next project further than the last.
Please feel free to contact me regarding any creative collaborative work.
